This honey is created by bees Apis Cerena, a small-sized bee that chooses to build its honeycombs at lower heights. Usually caves, trunks & anthills are the venues to deposit its honey. Our tribal farmers have harvested this Puttu honey from the forests of Western Ghats - Nilgiris Biosphere region of India.

Puttu honey is denser, darker and thicker than other varieties of wild honey. It is recognized to have a lot of healing properties. Many alternative medicines like Ayurveda and Siddha seek this variety of honey to use in their treatments.
