I, Saravanan am a farmer from Tiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu. I have a land of about 5 acres in which I cultivate Sugarcane, amongst a variety of crops. We take great care in farming this crop right from seeding stage. We ensure that seeds are planted such that each sapling gets plenty of sunlight and water with lot of gap between each seed and row. We only use traditional methods and prepare our own organic fertilizers like jeevamritam, panchakavyam etc. We also make natural pest repellants and use them only if needed. All our techniques help to enrich the soil. Yield of the cane takes about 10 to 12 months. Juice is extracted manually from all the cane harvested and boiled until it becomes solid blocks. These blocks are crushed to form sugar crystals. We do not add any preservatives into this and so this unrefined natural raw cane sugar is healthy to consume. Thank you for your patronage!
